GCSE, AS and A Level Drama
In an update to requirements, a new form must be completed for students certificating in summer 2019 onwards.
One of the requirements for Drama students is to experience live theatre in person. They must be a member of the audience in the same venue as the performers. To confirm students have met this requirement a new form has been created, called the 'Drama and Theatre Live Theatre Statement'. One copy of the form must be completed per school or college and then sent back to OCR by 15 May of the year of entry.
So, for example, GCSE Drama students completing their qualification in June 2019 would need to have a form completed for them and sent to us by 15 May 2019. This is in addition to other forms and is not a replacement.
The form is available on the qualification pages, under 'forms', and can also be found via our 'forms finder' tool. We are sorry for any confusion caused by the form being available slightly early.
Please note the form is not applicable to students completing their qualifications in June 2018. A statement does not need to be submitted for students taking their exams this summer.
The specifications have been updated to reflect this change, and can be found on the qualification pages linked below. The most up-to-date version of any specification will always be the one on a qualification page, so please check them regularly.
