GCSE, AS and A Level Media Studies
The Guardian and The Observer newspapers have recently rebranded their print and digital offerings from broadsheet to tabloid.
To reflect this change, page 27 of the GCSE Media Studies (9-1) specification (J200) has been updated to remove the word ‘broadsheet’ in the sentence directly below the table.
No changes have been made to the AS or A Level Media Studies specifications (H009, H409).
Where teachers select The Guardian or Observer as a set product during the course of study, this can be in either broadsheet or tabloid format. Learners will not be advantaged or disadvantaged by which format has been selected.
