Following the recent news we are withdrawing Cambridge OCR GCSE Drama (J316) and to support teacher workload, we will no longer replace two set texts for Component 04: Performance and response, for first teach September 2026.

This means that the following set texts will remain until the withdrawal of the qualification:

• Misterman by Enda Walsh
• Gizmo by Alan Ayckbourn

As a reminder, the final assessment opportunity for GCSE Drama is June 2028.

We have updated the GCSE Drama specification (version 3.2) to remove the previously planned replacement set texts: Blue Remembered Hills by Dennis Potter and Noughts & Crosses by Malorie Blackman adapted by Dominic Cooke/Sabrina Mahfouz.
