GCSE Geography: Latest updates

Please see below a summary of the latest updates and reminders for GCSE Geography in preparation for the June 2018 series.

Amendment to practice paper mark scheme

We have amended the mark scheme for one of our practice papers. Question 1c(i) in the Geography B (Geography for Enquiring Minds) component 03 practice paper (J384/03) has an answer of 140, with answers ranging from 130-150 also being accepted.

Question paper instructions

For some Geography question papers, the guidance on the front says a piece of string may be given to candidates. This is designed to be used for measuring, although it is optional. If string is to be provided, we recommend it is approximately 30cm long.

Fieldwork statements

Please remember the completed fieldwork written statements should be retained within centres.

The statements need to be completed by 15 May 2018 and there is no need to send them to us. More information can be found in an earlier subject information update.
