Examiners' reports to centres

Ahead of results being issued in August, we wanted to make you aware that for a selection of our qualifications, there will be some changes to the report we issue after each examination series. Aimed at both teachers and students, this year the new style report will be retitled as the 'examiners' report' and will share knowledge and insights from the summer series in a different style to the previous report. We hope both teachers and students find these new style reports more useful when it comes to preparing for exams.

We will roll out the new style examiners' report in stages over the next couple of years, starting this summer. The selection of qualifications below will have new style reports, and the framework for these will be questions from the exam paper, making it easier for teachers to navigate to specific sections of the report. Other qualifications with reports will use the existing style.

The new style reports should be published in mid to late August, with older style reports aiming to be published by the end of September. We appreciate the reports are useful when it comes to planning for teachers, and so we are hoping to publish them earlier than in previous years.

As the new style reports will contain questions from the exam paper, they will be published to Interchange alongside the question paper. For consistency, we will also publish all the reports we're producing in the existing style on Interchange alongside the new style reports.

The examiners' reports will be a key resource in our new assessment support package. Following production of the reports, we will then produce candidate exemplars from the exam series and organise the material for CPD events to support our qualifications.
