We review our qualifications to ensure they continue to meet the needs of teachers and students. This includes commissioning extensive research into how schools and colleges are using our qualifications and analysing national trends. The demand for AS Levels nationally has declined significantly over the past decade, after the qualifications were decoupled from A Levels and no longer mandatory as part of an A Level.

Following the review of our general qualifications portfolio, we are withdrawing the qualifications and optional paper listed below. As a not-for-profit organisation, we are focused on delivering the best possible assessment experience for teachers and students, and we continue to offer a broad range of qualifications. We regret the loss of any subject from our qualification portfolio. However, we also need to manage our commitments and focus on supporting teaching and learning in the areas that teachers are prioritising.
