OCR Cambridge Technicals results have been delivered to students on time. That’s almost 35,000 students receiving 47,000 Level 3 results on or before 15 August – every student who is entitled to receive a result today.

Congratulations to all Cambridge Technicals students for their hard work and important achievements. 

There are no late results for OCR Cambridge Technicals students who are eligible to receive them this year.

New checkpoints, effective collaboration 

In addition to improvements that we implemented last year to ensure all vocational results were delivered on time, this year OCR:

• has provided an improved purpose-built tracking system to enable schools and colleges to review student progress and take action where students were at risk of not receiving a result
• sent regular reminders to centres with students who were at risk of not receiving a result 
• has provided individual support to schools and colleges with unresolved cases.

Supporting all students

In a very small number of cases, schools or colleges claimed for a unit exceptionally late, missing deadlines, leaving students’ work unsubmitted. OCR has resolved almost all of these cases ahead of results day, and is working hard to ensure the outstanding work is assessed so students receive their results as quickly as possible.

As in any year, some students will not receive Cambridge Technicals Level 3 qualifications today because they have not met the certification criteria, for example where they have failed a unit or did not complete enough units. 

OCR has already contacted these students’ schools and colleges to ensure they understand why they have not received a result and what they can do about it. 

In some instances, students have an opportunity to receive a result for a smaller qualification if they wish. Any student who is in this situation should speak to their school or college, which will already have received relevant information from OCR.
