Countdown to results days 2021
29 July 2021
With results days fast approaching, here's a summary of key information for students and teachers.
Our priority is to enable students to move forward with results that reflect their hard work and to progress to the next stage of their education or employment. Following the cancellation of exams earlier this year, this summer's results will be based on teacher assessment. To support schools and colleges in determining student grades, we've provided guidance and carried out quality assurance checks along the way.
Key dates
Results days take place in one week in August this year, giving students more time to organise their next steps:
10 August: AS and A Levels, Cambridge Technicals and all Level 3 results - Students will receive results on 10 August (after we release them to schools, colleges and other centres on 9 August). Please note that our Cambridge Technicals Level 2 and Level 3 results may be given out to students from 9 August.
12 August: GCSEs, Cambridge Nationals and all Level 2 results - Students will receive results on 12 August (after we release them to schools, colleges and other centres on 11 August).
Timing
Results can be shared with students from 8.30am on 10 and 12 August.
Information and support
If you are a student or a parent, take a look at our dedicated support page. You'll find timelines and blogs about getting results, as well as information about appeals and the autumn exam series. As ever, we encourage students to talk to their teachers first if you think there is anything wrong with your results.
If you are a teacher, you'll find results statistics and results reports here. There's a new statement that helps explain results for your Cambridge Technicals students. We've provided a step by step guide to appeals for you on our dedicated page. And just a reminder that we won't be publishing grade boundaries as there were no exams. That also means our Active Results analysis service won't be running for summer 2021 data, although it will be available for analysis of previous exam years e.g. 2019.
Help on the day
You can contact our Customer Support Centre on 01223 553998 or via support@ocr.org.uk. We'll be open to support you each day from 7am to 5pm from Monday 9 August to Thursday 12 August, and from 8am to 5pm on Friday 13 August. We'll also be sharing information on social media, so do follow us on Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn if you don't already.
Wishing you all the best for the results days ahead.
