From 16 December 2020, we have updated our A Level Film Studies specification with a change to the silent era set film list. This change is for first teach September 2021.
There are no exams or moderation in June 2021 and results will be based on teacher judgement. The Your guide to the changes for 2021 for this qualification remains available as some of the guidance may still be useful to you and your students.

Our A Level qualification in Film Studies ignites students’ passion for film. They explore and engage critically with a wide range of film from different cultures, eras and genres to develop confident responses. They demonstrate their understanding through either filmmaking or screenwriting.
