New to OCR

Why move to OCR?

There are more marks available for showing mathematical method. With 100 marks available in each of our three exam papers, our mark schemes enable students to be rewarded for each correct step they show on the way towards their final answer, whether that answer is right or not.

Our specification makes it clear where to pitch the subject content. With content arranged in three columns to show the ‘initial learning’, content for foundation students and content for higher students, you’ll know exactly how to cover the content at the right level before moving on to more difficult areas.

Our offer

We have extensive formative assessment support. With almost 100 of our popular ‘check ins’, we offer formative assessment opportunities for each of our three levels of subject content. Student-friendly RAG marking grids identify their progress against mathematical skills, and with an extension activity for each test, your more able students are able to stretch themselves and see what they can do.

We have lots of practice papers and offer free access to ExamBuilder, our question builder platform, so that your students have ample opportunities to experience exam-style assessments. Our Maths Team are passionate about Maths and education and are ready to support your delivery of the OCR course.

It’s easy to switch

If you’re an OCR-approved centre, all you need to do is download the specification and start teaching.

We have everything you need to make your move. Start planning your new course and get ready to get ahead of the curve with OCR.
