There was a small error in the advance notice article for component H433/02 Scientific literacy in chemistry, which was published on the Cambridge OCR website and Teach Cambridge on 13 March 2026.

On pages 2 and 3, in the two reaction schemes provided for Stage 2: The Amadori rearrangement, one of the bonds in the structure provided for 1,2-Enaminol was depicted incorrectly. The OH group attached to the left-hand carbon of the C=C bond was shown with a wedged bond.

We have corrected this so that it is now shown correctly with a line bond. The corrected structure is shown below:

We've also corrected the hard copy version of the article, which is to be used with the question paper on the day of the examination, Tuesday 9 June 2026 – Morning.
