GCSE Design and Technology
The forms needed for the internal assessment and moderation of the non-exam assessment (NEA) component of our GCSE Design and Technology qualification have now been produced. We have amended the specification accordingly to make sure all administrative processes are clear.
The forms required for assessment can be found on the qualification page, located within the 'assessment' section, and then 'forms'.
The Centre authentication form (CCS160) is a generic form for all NEA components and must be completed and then kept within centres. There are three new forms that must also be completed. Please follow the instructions on each form and send to your moderator with the requested sample. The forms are:
- Candidate declaration form
- Candidate record form
- Centre recording sheet
The updated specifications can also be found on the qualification page. Changes have been made to pages 31, 34, 44 and 46. All amendments are to tighten up and clarify the administrative requirements when assessing and submitting candidates’ work.
A further change has been made to page 40 of the specification. The third statement in 'Strand 5 – Evaluate (AO3)', now reads “Feasibility of the design solution”
We hope you find these clarifications and additional support resources helpful. If you have any queries about this notice, please call our Customer Contact Centre on 01223 553998 or email general.qualifications@ocr.org.uk.
