Funding for Level 2 Cambridge Technicals confirmed until 2026

On 18 October 2022, the DfE published its response to the consultation on post-16 qualifications at Level 2 and below. The aim of the review is to “streamline the complex qualifications landscape, creating clear choices for young people and adults”.
In its response, the DfE confirmed all OCR Level 2 Cambridge Technicals qualifications will continue to be funded until new provision is introduced. This means replacement qualifications will be funded in two waves; in September 2026 and September 2027, mirroring the implementation of T Levels.
In response to this announcement, we'll be looking at the review dates for our Level 2 Cambridge Technicals qualifications – we will let you know as soon as these are confirmed.
